His mentor, Murray Rothbard, considered him a traitor to free-market economics. I recommend reading Rothbard or Ludwig von Mises. Their successor, Lew Rockwell, is also good (and serves as president of the von Mises Institute).

No doubt, Chris. I am a purist, too. But I actually got this clip from LewRockwell, which means they have some sympathy for the guy.
