There is another fundamental demand in the discipling of the nations. Christ uttered his command (Mat. 28:18-20) to an utterly Hebrew-minded people; a people steeped in Psalmic language; a people steeped in the Davidic utterances and cries to Yahweh. David cried for justice and righteousness to prevail in the land. It may be wise for us as pastors and parishioners to encourage others to pursue similar paths. For instance, how many of our little covenant children are growing up in homes devoid of Psalmnody? How many of our little ones treasure Yahweh’s great hymnbook? Worship is connected with dominion.
