Evel Knievel Dies at 69…

Evel Knievel, the red-white-and-blue-spangled motorcycle daredevil whose jumps over crazy obstacles including Greyhound buses, live sharks and Idaho’s Snake River Canyon made him an international icon in the 1970s, died Friday. He was 69.

  1. And to think, I sat on his motorcycle when I was just under 2 years old. He did a promo at my grandfather’s Harley store, and I was there.

  2. I was sad to see him go, an icon from my childhood. We should be encouraged that according to a recent issue of Christianity Today, Evel Knievel made a profession of faith of Christ.
