10 Reasons Why Community Matters

A community that does not include the laughter of children is a community bound to die in the misery of aged. Children balance the human emotions of the body.

After a delightful three days around my friends from Monroe, LA, and CREC pastors from all over the country, it’s hard not to be enthused by the joys of festivities and community life. We had numerous meals together, and our tables were full of joy and laughter, theological discussions, story-telling, and strategizing happening everywhere. As the Puritans would say, a jolly intoxication was taking place, the Spirit-led variety.

Moments like these make me pull out my inner Bonhoeffer and take a few hundred words to exalt the virtues of community life and show that without it, one's humanity suffers.
