I intended to be in D.C., getting ready for the inauguration. But with the expected freezing temperatures and American Airlines’ offer to wave the flight fees, we decided last minute to fly from Santiago, Chile, back to Pensacola, FL. We arrived early Sunday, attended a local church (since ours was already done by the time we landed), and then came home and offered my kids a gigantic surprise. It’s been a sweet time back!
Our time in Chile was lively—from fellowships, meetings, meals, wine-tasting, and lectures. The whole experience was happily rhythmic.
On Friday, I delivered a lecture on the nature of the CREC, and a lengthy Q&A followed it. The saints in Pichilemu went above and beyond to prepare the stage and videography. The result was a very professional conference.
The questions revealed a knowledge of the work of the CREC and it was terrific to field questions from many who had genuine questions about our work. There was a very positive receptivity to our vision, and I am praying that God would establish a work in Chile.
My host, Nathan Anderson, was terrific in every way. He provided a lovely AIRB&B for us, and our morning views were sublime, with delicious and colorful breakfasts each morning with fresh fruit, homemade bread, and strawberry jam.
The black sand found in Chile’s beaches, such as Playa Arenilla Negra, is primarily due to volcanic activity. It was a wild contrast to our white-sandy beaches in Pensacola but equally astonishing.
On Saturday, I delivered two talks. The first was on the biblical case for postmillennialism, and the second was on the chronology of Satan’s defeat, beginning with the Old Testament to his demise in Revelation 20.
The lectures were well received and followed by a lengthy Q&A with questions ranging from interpretive to societal implications. I was encouraged by the quality of the questions. The conversations in between sessions were also encouraging.
One of the great pleasures of the conference was meeting a host of saints, some of whom drove over 400 Kilometers to attend. It was a joy to meet some of my Chilean readers and interact with current CREC topics, including paedocommunion. The people were delightful and incredibly charming. I treasured our conversations and hope to keep them close to me in the future, hoping to return sometime.
The benefit of these conferences is always the interaction and meals with fellow speakers. The time with the Session of El Faro Church and hanging out with Leo and Nathan was a superb experience.
The Reformar 2025 was, by all measures, a great success! It was also a tremendous way to begin my heavy traveling seasons!
I hope the Puritan hope will bear much fruit in that beautiful land!

I look forward to being back with the saints of Providence this Sunday. Still, before that, I will be traveling to Lafayette, Louisiana, to speak at the Tactics Conference with my friends.

Yes, your Chile trip seemed to be blessed by God. Any chance that conference was recorded? I hope in English but if not, then it was not for me.
May God bless your trip this upcoming weekend as well.
