In chapter two of Through New Eyes, Jordan argues that the Bible is fundamentally symbolic because its symbols: sun, moon, stars, heavens, lions, lambs, etc., and everything else helps us interpret God’s creation.
This book is about symbolism and its applications, but chapter 3 of TNE is like a primer on symbolism and worldview. So, I would send folks to this chapter if they wanted a succinct book summary.
