Self-Controlled Men, Holocaust Denialism, Doug Wilson on the Antioch Statement, Advent/Christmas Resources, Church Calendar Pie & Practical Paedocommunion
Here is a buffet of goodness from the Perspectivalist!
Providence Church is happy to welcome Dr. George Grant to our Advent Lectures:
Self-Controlled Men
These next few years will only bear good fruit if men of self-control set the way, which will demand of them the following:
a) Restraint in adopting the most obscene historical and theological positions to show one's zeal.
b) Restraint of anger in the home; the ability to remain calm when things don't seem to go as they should.
c) Patience with the weak in the congregation—developing the backbone not to take everything personally. Seeking reconciliation before frustration or angst swallows you.
d) Willingness to forego self-authority and look to the wisdom of others, especially when they have established longevity of care and faithfulness.
e) And showing restraint to act only when the matter seems significant enough to warrant behavior instead of carelessly jumping on too many fronts.
The Church needs self-controlled men in our day!

I just used Lydia's graphic in my own Advent writing, and used the link you provided to send people to her storefront. I'll probably pick something up myself. Such a helpful resource and thankful she does this each year!
This is so, so good. When I see you next week I'll give you another Adventide/Christmastide book!
