The Future Belongs to the Grateful
The future belongs to the grateful.
Those who spend their days bemoaning and belittling our forefathers will find that their sons will do likewise.
Those who spend their days complaining about their past will find that they will never rejoice in their present or future.
Those who spend their days replaying their past wrongs will find that they cannot see clearly their justification.
Those who envy the success of others will find that they cannot see God's riches upon them.
Those who cannot rejoice with those who rejoice will find they cannot see God's grace.
Those who cannot praise another will find that they will be alone.
Those who cannot praise God for the renewal of mercies will find a future of sorrows.
Those who cannot see the blessings of this great nation will find refuge with the scoundrels.
The future belongs to the grateful.
Happy Thanksgiving!
