Imagine my surprise to find out about an English version of the “American Idol.” The same American Idol who represents some of the most shallow and superficial music ever sung in the history of mankind. I still boast to this day of having seen no more than 20 minutes of that despicable program. I was surprised to see a fellow blogger post a YouTube link to what looked like an American Idol clip. Here is what I heard: Nessum dorma. It is from Puccini’s opera Turandot.
