It’s been many years since I interacted with DeeDee or went to her site (or at least the other site, TheologyWeb, which she runs). I’ll have to look through some of the stuff on there soon.
Just read through your review. I too loved the book, though as Mathison said in the comment on that post, I think I’m less concerned about the labels. But optimism regarding eschatology seems to me to be quite important.
Probably my favorite thing about Mathison’s book was the strong covenantal connection. Prior to reading that book, I hadn’t clearly thought through how the covenantal structure of Scripture leads naturally into how we view eschatology.
